What would Christ do during the economic crisis?

The global financial crisis of 2008–2009 emerged in September 2008 with the failure, merger, or conservatorship of several large United States-based financial firms and spread with the insolvency of additional companies, governments in Europe, recession, and declining stock market prices around the globe.

Beginning with failures caused by bad debts and debt insurance, large financial institutions in the United States and Europe faced a credit crisis and a slowdown in economic activity.

The subprime mortgage crisis reached a critical stage during the first week of September 2008, characterized by severely contracted liquidity in the global credit markets[17] and insolvency threats to investment banks and other institutions.

The Labor Department said that the US lost 533,000 jobs in November 2008, the biggest monthly loss since 1974. This raised the unemployment rate from 6.5% to 6.7%.

So, what would Christ do?

Keep your family confident that this soon will pass like any other bad situation, because as Americans we been through this before, during the Great Depression- and as Americans we will rise above this like we always do. We can do all things through Christ that strenghtens us. Amen. Thank you for your encouragment and we're always glad to see and hear from you anytime.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

PS. Some steps the children of Israel followed to become delivered during their financial crisis in the Bible:
1. Pray
2. Fast
3. Give to the poor
4. Live right
5. Don't waste spending
6. Save for times like these as an emergency- conserve
7. Do what Christ would do
